The Problem
The client needed a simple, usable, yet modern LMS to deliver compliance training. Their previous solutions were overly complex and still lacked key features required for a functional blended learning service. While the client had a clear vision of how employees should be trained through digital courses, they were missing the right tools and infrastructure to fully execute that vision.
My Role
I was responsible for finding a platform solution that was easy for project managers to maintain and use. After investigating the needs of employees and stakeholders, I created a problem map to identify the key challenges. The client was clear that the main issue was the platform and its functionality, rather than the content itself. I therefore focused on how the existing content could be structured and implemented effectively within the new platform while achieving the desired learning outcomes.
The client is a UK accident repair group with a distributed workforce across multiple repair centres, creating a constant need for accessible, on-demand learning.
After investigating employee and stakeholder needs, I created a problem map and identified a platform and functionality issue rather than a content issue. The existing content needed a better environment in which employees could access and discuss it.
I proposed iSpring Learn, a cloud-based LMS offering a simple, modern learner experience. Alternatives such as Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 tools could support communication and knowledge sharing, but would have created a more fragmented learning environment.
The platform gave employees direct access to learning content and focused discussion groups, including from mobile devices. It also supported different roles and encouraged peer-to-peer learning alongside formal training. I structured the platform, defined the roles and workflows, and established a setup the client could maintain independently. The result was a dedicated learning environment combining structured learning, on-demand knowledge, and peer discussion.
